This seminar is part of the MSc degree in Cognitive Systems. It covers various recent advancements from the Natural Language Processing field. The goals of the seminar are the following:
Find out about recent developments in the NLP world
Learn to read and understand scientific publications
Discuss the outcomes, shortcomings
Critically review scientific publications
Come up with the follow-up ideas
Learn how to write scientific publications
The seminar follows the idea of role-playing to engage students in the discussion of selected publications. This type reading seminar was proposed by Jacobson and Raffel “Role-Playing Paper-Reading Seminars” (2021).
